What a year it’s been... There’s no way to sugar-coat it; 2020 has been tough. On everybody.

With that said, though, it’s times like these that present us with new opportunities to grow, learn, and discover better solutions through working together. 2020 has been a year of unprecedented challenges, but has not been without its highlights and silver-linings. Most notably amongst them… you.

We know that it is with you – our amazing clients and partners all over the world – and for you, that we achieve our best work. And, how we overcome our greatest challenges. 2020 has evidenced this to be true, today more than ever.

Hindsight a year of silver-linings

We’d like to share some positives from the last 12 months, to carry us into the new year with renewed energy and spirit.

Contactless payments and e-commerce transactions soared

Virtual cards have proven to be a successful solution in helping businesses remain agile through changes in shopping behaviours, work-from-home requirements, and other knock-on effects of lockdowns and social distancing, facilitating safer, contactless payments.

35 We’ve
been hiring

We’ve been growing our Teams through ongoing hiring drives, enabling us to further improve client service, and our around-the-clock support, available 24/7, across time zones and continents. 2020 saw 35 new Tutukans join our ranks, and we’re very glad to welcome each and every one of them to the Team.

Serving 33 countries, and counting...

Tutuka is a truly global processor, now live in 33 countries, with nine of those having joined the ever-growing fold in 2020. To our new friends in Poland, The UK, Malaysia, Laos, Senegal, Malawi, Mexico, Curacao, and Brazil… thank you, and welcome to the Tutuka Family.

40% growth in digital payments

Worldwide lockdowns have accelerated a move to digital payments. Which, without losing sight of the broader tragedy, is a positive for the payments industry in general.

New decade.
New brand. New website

As many of you may have noticed, we got a bit of a makeover this year. A fresh lick of paint, some cool, new web functionality, and a look-and-feel that better reflects our global family of clients, across oceans, time zones and cultures, as well our broader philosophy of succeeding through helping others.

Changing Lives, and computing against Covid-19

Our Changing Lives initiatives
are at the heart of our beliefs here at Tutuka.

  • This year we have positively impacted 14 people’s lives in very real ways. Read some of those stories here
  • We also donated our collective computer power to the Folding@Home project; a worldwide community initiative focused on simulating how Covid-19 behaves, using donated computational power.
  • And finally, we made a $10 000 USD donation to Direct Relief, providing healthcare workers in 22 countries with protective masks, gloves and gowns. — https://lnkd.in/d9Y4XuX

We’d like to sincerely thank you for being by our sides through this crazy, whirlwind of a year. And, for letting us be by yours. Whatever 2021 may hold in store, we’re looking forward to getting stuck in, and working together again.
